Damask Challenge

I created this card for the Moxie Fab World challenge of using damask.  This is an older sizzix folder that I’ve never used before…. along with a piece of core’dinations cardstock.  I love that stuff!  It doesn’t take much sanding at all to make the complementary color shine through!

Sentiment is by Wilson Designs.

Happy Stamping!

Happy Mother's Day Card

This card is not only my Mother's Day card for my mom, but it also is a multiple challenge piece, as well!

First, the sketch is from the Skipping Stones Designs #127  as seen here:

The card also meets the Heart2Heart Challenges Blog for a mom card, and the Party Time Tuesdays challenge #67 for a mom card.

Finally, my monochromatic color scheme is for the Paper Craft Weekend Challenge Blog.  I had to make a card using my new favorite color - purple!

Supplies:  Cardstock by CTMH (Amethyst, Pansy  Purple, Petal, Smoky Plum, White Daisy). Ink by CTMH, (Pansy purple - the lighter flowers by "Mom" are second generation!)  Stamps are CTMH's Remarkable Wreath and A Typeface.  I also used 3D Foam Tape, Bitty Sparkles (CTMH) and some Tim Holtz Tissue Tape.

Happy Stamping!

CPS264 Happy Birthday!

This weekend, my guys are calling it "mom's weekend." I get to choose what we eat, and I also get to hide downstairs in my art room playing! Today, I played along with the Card Positioning Systems sketch 264 .

Here's my take on it:

Stamps are by PTI.  The makers, are of course, Copic: BG10, BG48, B00, BV13, Y28, E19, and YG11.  The patterned paper is by the Paper Studio, cardstock by CTMH (sky, lagoon, kraft and cocoa).  Stamped images in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

Happy Stamping, and Happy Mother's Day!

Unity National Scrapbooking Day Challenge

I really like Unity stamps.  They have some really cute images!  They have sponsored a challenge for National Scrapbooking day at Splitcoast stampers to create a project using their sketch at UnityNSDC2012.

This is my take on it:

Stamps used by Unity :  Wheely Fun and Destination Happiness.  Holiday Red, Lagoon and Cocoa cardstock by CTMH.  The kraft cardstock is by Greengrocer.  Buttons and ribbon, unknown.  Markers, of, course, are Copic.  Patterned paper is by Echo Park (This and That Collection - Charming).

I used 3D Foam tape to pop up the vehicle images.  Border punch by Fiskars.

Happy Stamping!

Fun Challenges! CPS 164, Whimsy 38 and 2TC6

Yep, I've been hitting the blogs again to come up with some fun inspriation.

For this card, I used CPS sketch #164 :

I combined this with a challenge at Twisted Tuesday Challenge, which was to make a birthday card including ribbon (2TC6). (the yellow/cream stripe is actually a ribbon).

I also used 3D Foam tape to pop up the cake panel, meeting the "give dimension" aspect of Whimsy's challenge #38.

Stamp set is by Unity "It's your Day".  The cardstock is a mish mash of all sorts, and the markers were, of course, Copic. :)

Happy Stamping!

A challenge combo! SSD125 and PTT #65

Wow!  I can't believe it's been so long.  I'm inspired to start posting art to my blog.  The challenges have gotten those creative ideas flowing!

For the SSD125 Challenge at Skipping Stones Design, I followed the sketch below:

For the PTT #65 Challenge at Party Time Tuesdays, it was anything goes, including Kraft paper.

My supplies were Close to My Heart's Cotton Candy, Tulip, Olive and Colonial White cardstock and brads.

The sentiment panel is from Jillibean Soup, the heart punch is SU! and twill is some bit I had leftover in my bin. :)

I used a fun shimmery pink cardstock from Curious Metallic that I like to get at cutcardstock.com .

Happy Stamping!
